My understanding is that the unmasking that took place under the authority of Susan Rice was indeed legal and very possibly completely justified.  I also however believe that it is correct to say that the leaking of this information is where the wrongdoing did actually take place.  So the question is, did Susan Rice leak the information?

I don’t have an opinion on this because there is no real evidence to prove it one way or another, but she didn’t make it any easier on me.  She may have indicated that she didn’t, but the fact of the matter is, when you say “I leaked nothing to nobody”, no one can ever call you a liar. Why? Because leaking nothing to nobody is a double negative that really means, if you take it literally, that she leaked something, either to someone or someones. If she is found to not be guilty of that act, no one is going to call her a liar in her innocence.  If she is found guilty, well, she did say she “leaked nothing to nobody”.

I don’t actually believe she was playing games like that with the English language, but it certainly makes the story more entertaining, and to be honest I’m surprised there weren’t more hard core right wingers that jumped all over this.  Then again, come to think of it, it’s not that surprising.
